Troubling Events

Make sure friends and family have working smoke detectors. Instead of stuff, show them how much you really care by checking and replacing batteries or non-working smoke detectors. Informal results from asking area fire victims if they heard the smoke alarm, over half had non-working smoke detectors.

Two fires in Mount Pleasant this month. A few others in the area occurred over the same timeframe. Last week, an elderly couple lost their home. The wife had mobility issues and was very fortunate to be able to get out.
